O «Λαβύρινθος της Κρητικής Κουζίνας» είναι ένα δίγλωσσο βιβλίο συνταγών, απάνθισμα της βιωματικής έρευνας «από το χωράφι στο τραπέζι», μιας φοιτήτριας από τις ΗΠΑ σε μια παραδοσιακή οικογενειακή επιχείρηση της Κρήτης, φημισμένης για τη φιλοξενία και τη μαγειρική τέχνη για δύο γενεές. Τέσσερις διεθνείς προσωπικότητες σχολιάζουν το βιβλίο, προτείνεται από το Παγκόσμιο Συμβούλιο Κρητών, περιέχει παραστατικές φωτογραφίες υψηλής αισθητικής και επιλεγμένα κείμενα για την ανθρωπολογία της τροφής. Το οικογενειακό τραπέζι συναντά την επιστημονική φροντίδα, σε ένα διεθνές ερευνητικό έργο προάγοντας την Κρήτη.
Α Drexel student meets the Ideal Family in an experiential book which celebrates the “farm to table” Cretan homemade food. Three professors, four international personalities, and a US philanthropist collaborated during an abroad, academic program toward this bilingual, picturesque book. Beyond the recipes, the book elevates the household tradition to current foodways, explaining why in Crete “we speak what we eat”. The reader will enjoy a step-by-step guide with healthy and creative contents of authentic food, endorsed by the World Council of Cretans.
